Establish connections early and often

You never know what new friends you will make along the way. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

  • Transition to college. Feeling overwhelmed? That’s totally normal. It takes preparation and practice just like your sport requires to be successful.

  • Starting the conversation. Normalizing the talk and diminishing the stigma around mental health issues.

  • I have a problem, now what? If you are unsure whether you need some help, err on the side of caution and contact your counseling center.
